Le Morne Cultural Landscape, known as a rugged mountain that extends into the Indian Ocean in the southwest of Mauritius was utilized as a haven by runaway slaves, maroons, through the eighteenth and early years of the nineteenth century. It is presently delegated a World Heritage site by the UNESCO. These days, it is a hardly occupied place and is generally encompassed by inns. The spot is overflowing with magnificent viewpoints over the west bank of the island and over the southern part of the island.
I have visited this place a couple of times and I must tell you that it amazed me every time i went there. The view is breath taking; amazing blue sea, filao trees, great view of Le Morne mountain.
Sitting there just for a few minutes will make you realize how nature is beautiful and how Mauritius is full of beauty.
